This 8-day tour will take you on a visit to Uganda’s largest and oldest safari park Murchision falls National Park a home to several wildlife species including the Big 4 wild game, about 450 bird species, 76 mammals and the World’s most powerful falls. You will proceed to one of the most beautiful tropical forest in East Africa Kibale forest where you will get close up to the endangered chimpanzees with a guided walk to visit the crater Lakes of Fort-portal. The trip will further take you on another wildlife adventure to Queen Elizabeth National Park where you will view Tree climbing Lions as well as other wildlife species in the Ishasha sector of this park.You will also have a Magical experience trekking in the jungle of the playful gorillas at the Bwindi Impenetrable forest, it is not only covered with the great apes but also several scenic trails and a diverse number of species of mammals like chimpanzees, butterflies, amazing bird species, species of geckos, chameleons, and lots of unique flora such as vines, mahogany, ferns, and bamboo plant species to see during the trek and Lastly with a relaxation time at the beautiful Lake Bunyonyi(Africa’s second deepest Lake)

Detailed Itinerary:
Upon your arrival through Entebbe International airport, you will be met by our Twist African safari guide who will welcome you to Uganda- “The Pearl of Africa” Thereafter, you will be transferred to your booked accommodation. Incase you had an early landing to Uganda, you may opt to go for a free city tour with our guide. He will take you through different spots around the city, you may choose to spend enough time where you get the best excitement. Later drive back to the hotel for relaxation, dinner and overnight. Accomodation before the tour starts can be arranged at an extra cost
Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls Park- Rhino trek- visit top of the falls.
After an early morning breakfast, your adventure will start right away with driving northwards to Murchison Falls National Park. Your first stop over point will be at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino trekking with the guidance of a local guide who will take you for a 2-hours nature walk to experience the magnificent and endangered rhinos. This is the only place you will have a chance to see these majestic creatures in their natural habitat in Uganda. After this activity, you will drive to Masindi town for lunch then continue to the park with your driver/guide highlighting on all your questions during the drive. On arriving at the park, you will be driven to the top of the mighty falls. Enjoy the spectaculqr views of waterfalls at this point after which have a short sunset game drive along the way to your accommodation where you will check in, have dinner and spend the night.
Day 2: Early morning game drive - afternoon boat cruise.
By sunrise our Guide will pick you up after your breakfast for transfer to the park entrance. With beautiful sights of the morning sunrise you will start this game drive in the park lasting 3-5hours. During this game drive you will see some of the vast array of game animals like giraffes, lions, elephants, buffaloes among many others that roam the park. Have lunch and later take a Boat Launch upstream to the foot of the thundering Murchison Falls offering great photo opportunities of this marvel of nature. Also, along the banks of the River you will be able to see animals like Hippos, crocodiles, and unique bird species for the avid Bird watchers. Drive back to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Transfer to Kibale forest National park – Crater lakes tour.
After breakfast, drive south west of Uganda with a stop in Fort portal town for lunch. You will later go on a guided walk to the crater Lakes in the south of Fort portal that is donned with about 80 crater lakes. You will visit these beautiful crater lakes with a hike enjoying the beautiful scenery and great views while at the top. Later proceed to Kibale National park where you will arrive at your accommodation for check in, relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Chimpanzee Tracking Kibale – Bigodi wetland your
After an early morning breakfast, with your packed lunches you will drive to the park head-quarters to be briefed by the park officials about the code of conduct in the forest during the trek. With the lead of a ranger you will start the experience where you will observe the time-to-time behavior of the chimps, how they feed, play, jump from tree branch to another. Apart from seeing chimpanzees you will see other primates like Baboons, Vervet monkeys, Colobus monkeys, among others. Have lunch and go for a guided nature walk through the Bigodi wetland sanctuary where you will enjoy viewing different bird species as well as interact with the community. Drive back to the lodge for Dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via the Ishasha sector
Have early breakfast and then embark on the drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National park going through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park famed for the tree climbing lions. Have a short game drive in this area, expect to see over 4 to 6 lions hanging up on the fig trees. Have lunch and then proceed to Bwindi Forest Park going past the lush countryside reaching in the evening for check in, relaxation, dinner at a booked lodging facility at the gorilla land foothills.
Day 6: Gorilla trekking adventure in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After an early morning breakfast, with your packed lunch boxes your Uganda safari driver guide will pick you up from the accommodation facility for a drive to the gorilla trekking sector headquarters. At the headquarters, briefing on the tracking etiquette starts before 8:00am local time. You will then receive trekking sticks and head to the jungle in company of the park rangers and guides. Mountain Gorilla trekking in Bwindi is unpredictable because of the movement behaviors of the gorillas and therefore the activity lasts about 2-8 hours. These hours are spent in search of the gorillas however only 1 hour is spent the presence of these gentle giants. At the end of this memory filled 1 hour, you return to the park headquarters where you receive a Uganda gorilla trekking certificate. Later after that, you meet with your safari driver guide for a drive to your lodging facility for relaxation and refreshment. Later in the afternoon you may opt to go on a guided community tour to visit the Batwa people also known as the “Pygmy people”. The Batwa cultural tour is one of the most exciting community tours that gives you a chance to experience the unique culture and lifestyle of the locals in this sector through their amazing traditional dances, songs and activities. Later return to lodge for relaxation dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
You will end this safari with a relaxation at Lake Bunyonyi. Africa’s second deepest Lake with over 29 islands, your guide will drive you from Bwindi after breakfast to Muko boat landing site where you will take a boat trip as you head to your accommodation viewing and learning about the history of each island. You will also have a chance to see Bird species and some animals on this tour. Arrive at the resort hotel for check in Lunch relaxation dinner and overnight.
Day 8: Transfer back to Kampala
Waking to the views of the lake you will have a leisurely breakfast then prepare for your journey back to Kampala to Kampala/ Entebbe International Airport for a departure flight. Along the way you will have lunch en route with another stop at the Uganda equator line for photography where you may also feel free to buy some African gifts at the crafts market at this stop point.
